Post for Clinical/Counselling Psychologists and Psychotherapist/Play therapists
The Team for Assessment of Attention and Social Communication (TAASC)is unique in Malta, comprising a Multidisciplinary team of 30 professionals from more than 10 different specialities working with both children and adults with developmental, behavioural, functional and mental difficulties. Professionalsin TAASC have received standardised training in their specialty; additionally, they are enthusiastic, creative, well-established, and committed to regular peer-support. As a team, TAASC consistently seeks to provide the best possible care for highquality, long-term well-being by striving for excellence and adhering to the latest evidence-based practices such as NICE guidelines.
We are currently seeking to employ therapists to work predominantly with children and adolescents.
The successful candidates will be expected to carry out assessments, devise formulations, and apply therapeutic interventions and consultation skills with individuals, families and carers across a wide range of referrals. They will also be expected to work closely with other multi-disciplinary team members and attend MDT meetingswhen necessary.
The duties of the therapist would include:
- Assessing a child’s psychological needs
- Delivering psychological interventions, therapy and follow-ups
- Liaising with the family/carer and other professionals involved
- Ensuring that records are well kept in accordance with existing legal provisions
- Assisting the lead psychologist in audit projects
- Attending regular MDT meetings
